Details we gather
- Your quote request asks for your name, the truck, a phone number or email, how you run, your base state, and when your authority begins
- Information from your calls to us: the calling number, when the call happens and how long it lasts, and a recording where one is made
- Choices you make in the requirements questions, stored in your browser so they remain when you return
- Basic page activity: which page you view, whether you use the requirements questions, and clicks on call buttons or links to other sites, sent without cookies to our own server
- Server logs: the page requested, your browser type, and IP address, stored so the site stays secure and errors can be fixed
How your details are used
Your details go to a truck insurance agency, which can then get in touch with you regarding the setup you sent. Page events and logs tell us which pages are useful and help keep the site running. No advertising cookies or third-party trackers are used.
Where your information goes
An agency or agent that writes commercial truck coverage receives your quote request and call. Under contract, service providers that host the site, take calls, and store requests process data on our behalf. If a law requires it, we may share information.

Selling and sharing
When we are paid to send an insurance agency your quote request, that can count as a sale under similar state laws and California law. Opting out takes one email; the Do Not Sell or Share page shows how.
Keeping your information
After 24 months at most, we delete quote requests and call records. Server logs stay with us for up to 90 days. Until you clear them, the answers saved in your browser stay there.
Your rights
Your state decides which rights you have. In states like California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah and Texas, these include asking what details we hold about you, getting a copy, having it corrected or deleted, and opting out of having it sold or shared. To make a request, email agents@hotshotinsure.com. You will get an answer within 45 days, and you will not be treated differently for using these rights. With your written permission, an authorised agent may ask on your behalf.
Children
This site serves people who run trucking businesses. No information is knowingly collected from anyone under 16.
